ISLAMABAD: Police on Saturday found the body of a 65-year-old man near the Islamabad Expressway. The body was found in a pool of dirty water by Koral police who shifted it to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) for further formalities. Doctors at Pims were scheduled to perform an autopsy today (Sunday). However, officials said that the body bore no signs of torture or any injury while the body appeared to be a week old. Hours after shifting the body to Pims, police said the man had been identified as Makhan Khan, a resident of Dhok Ali Akbar in Rawalpindi. Koral SHO inspector Raouf Kiani said the police have managed to contact Khan’s family in Rawalpindi. The family told the police that Khan had gone missing on October 26 and they had reported his disappearance to the Sadiqabad police in Rawalpindi two days later on October 29. The family denied that Khan had any enmity and did not suspect foul play leading to his death.
