Boosting investment: Italy, Pakistan joint venture will enhance trade ties

Says Italy and Pakistan have yet to fully utilise the immense potential available to them in bilateral trade

MULTAN: Joint ventures between the private sectors of Italy and Pakistan could help enhance mutual trade volume.

Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said this while exchanging views on bilateral trade with Deputy Trade Commissioner of Italy AR Daudpota on Friday.

He said the delegation should also visit southern Punjab to explore opportunities for trade & investment. He said joint ventures between the private sectors of the two countries could help enhance mutual trade volume.

Jalaluddin Roomi added Italy is an important trading partner of Pakistan in Europe. He said, “Balance of trade favours Pakistan and it is encouraging to see that volume of bilateral trade is being maintained over one billion dollars.”

On the occasion, AR Daudpota said a 58-member Italian trade delegation will visit Pakistan on November 5 (today).
