ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has taken back the status of recognised from a journal, Science International, according to a statement issued on Friday. According to the statement, HEC noticed with grave concern that a multidisciplinary sciences journal, Science International, was publishing most of the social sciences papers without taking recognition from social sciences section of the academic division of the commission. “The editor of the journal was repeatedly informed through letters and e-mails to refrain from publishing social sciences papers and articles, however on continuous violation of HEC instructions the journal has been derecognised with effect from October 25,” said the press release.
