ISLAMABAD: Around 30 people from federal and provincial government organisations attended a one-day workshop on “job-centred crisis recovery and decent work” on Saturday.

The workshop focused on job creation strategy especially in flood hit areas of the country.

Dr S Nazre Hyder, Former Director General Pakistan Manpower Institute (PMI), Professor Laeeq Hassan Jaswal, CIIT Islamabad, and Professor Majid Mahmood Bagran, Allama Iqbal Open University, were the key speakers at the workshop.

Director General PMI Muhammad Azam said that the main objective of the workshop is to provide forum to the organisations for future planning.

He added the organisation, since its inception, had carried out 60 research projects and published 100 journals.

The workshop was organised by Pakistan Manpower Institute in collaboration with International Labour Organization.
