Criminal act: Lady health worker, hospital owner booked

When the team raided the hospital, no doctor was present in the facility

MULTAN: At least two people, including a lady health worker, have been booked for running an illegal 20-bed hospital in Farid Nagar, Pakpattan on Sunday.

Pakpattan Assistant Commissioner Ashfaqur Rahman told The Express Tribune, he along with his team raided Javed Surgical Hospital located at Fareed Nagar Chowk in the district.

He added that the health facility was being run by Mussarrat, a lady health worker, and its owner Javed. He further said both suspects were playing with the lives of innocent citizens.

“The hospital is being run illegally and consists of 20 beds and an operation theatre,” the commissioner said.  He also said that kidney related surgeries were also performed in the hospital.

Ashfaqur Rahman said when the team raided the hospital, no doctor was present in the facility. He said a case had been registered against Mussarrat and Javed at the Fareed Nagar police station under Criminal Act. He said an inquiry had been initiated against the suspects.
