Substandard coal tar: Three factories sealed, four nabbed

MULTAN: In a bid to curb profiteering, Rahim Yar Khan district administration sealed three factories and arrested four suspects that were involved in producing substandard coal tar on Thursday.

On the directions of Rahim Yar Khan DCO Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, Health EDO Makhdoom Basharat Hussain Hashmi and his team raided different areas and sealed three factories for producing coal tar by burning tyres, that was injurious to health and contributed to environment pollution.

The raiding team seized record from the factories and arrested their owners. Two of the suspects were identified as Muhammad Azeem and Hazoor Baksh.

While speaking to journalists, Health EDO Makhdoom Basharat Hussain said those people who were involved in such practices do not deserve leniency and stern action would be taken against them without any discrimination.
