Murder or mishap? Five of a family found dead in Okara stream

Woman, infant, two girls among victims; bodies found tied with a rope

MULTAN: Five bodies were found from a stream in Renala Khurd in Okara on Friday. Police officials told The Express Tribune bodies of a woman, an infant, two girls and a boy were tied together with a rope.

Fishermen living near the stream had contacted police and informed them about the situation.

Police officials, with the help of Rescue 1122, shifted the bodies to the hospital.

According to police, the bodies appeared to have been dumped into the stream a long time ago.

The deceased belonged to the same family.

Teams have been constituted to investigate the incident.

A series of announcements have been made in nearby localities, asking residents to help the police identify the bodies.
