LAHORE: The Punjab government and World Bank have signed an agreement of cooperation regarding development of agriculture, stability of agri economy and best usage of water resources. Agriculture Secretary Muhammad Mehmood and World Bank Country Director inked the agreement at a ceremony held in Model Town on Thursday. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was the chief guest on the occasion. As part of the agreement, the World Bank will also extend cooperation regarding implementation of modern technology for promoting agriculture on lasting basis. While addressing the ceremony, the chief minister said the agreement will promote prosperity of villages and it will prove to be a milestone in the development of the agriculture sector.
