PINDI GHEB: A man was booked for allegedly assaulting a widow and looting cash and jewellery from her house in Pindi Gheb on Wednesday.

The victim woman lodged a complaint with the local police stating that a masked man carrying a pistol broke into her house in Hejri Village, while she was sleeping along with her two children, and sexually assaulted her.

He ransacked the house at gunpoint and made away with Rs50,000 in cash, jewellery and other valuables.

She said that the suspect had been identified as Muhammad Asad, a resident of Dhobala village.

The police have arrested the suspect along with a 32-bore pistol.

The other motorcyclist, Zahid Hussain was coming from the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz lodged a complaint Muhammad Ilyas and Haq Nawaz beat him and his son with sticks and rods.

The victims and the suspects have a case in a local court.
