QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies detained 428 Afghan nationals from various towns of Quetta including 100 students residing in the country without legal documents.

A religious seminary in Bhoosa Mandi outskirts of the provincial capital was also sealed in the process.

According to security officials, “Frontier Corps Balochistan and law enforcement agencies raided the seminary and arrested 100 Afghan students residing there without legal documents.”

Operation against illegal Afghan migrants has been intensified and up to 428 Afghans have been detained, sources added.

The government of Pakistan launched an operation against illegal Afghan immigrants after the Afghan forces launched an offensive against Pakistani citizens and sent them back despite having legal documents.
