Reshuffling: Four DIGs transferred and posted  

Although four DIGs have been transferred and posted, two more officers have yet to be transferred

KARACHI: A major reshuffling in the Sindh police led to the transfer and posting of four deputy inspectors general (DIGs) on Monday. According to a notification, Dr Jamil Ahmed, former Hyderabad traffic DIG, has been transferred and posted with immediate effect as DIG of Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA), Karachi Range. He has replaced Sultan Ali Khawaja who will now serve as Hyderabad traffic DIG. Another officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, Azad Khan, has been posted as the new District South, Karachi, DIG replacing Munir Shaikh, who has been transferred and posted as DIG Headquarters at the Central Police Office. Shaikh will replace Imran Yaqoob Minhas. Last week, Sindh IG AD Khawaja had written to the chief secretary to transfer six DIGs of the police. Although four DIGs have been transferred and posted, two more officers have yet to be transferred. The two officials include traffic AIG Khadim Hussain Bhatti and Karachi Range administration AIG Ghulam Sarwar Jamali.
