Hat-trick by skipper Dilber Hussain guides U21 hockey team to their third consecutive win

KARACHI: A hat-trick by skipper Dilber Hussain guided Pakistan’s U21 hockey team to their third consecutive win, thrashing EHV Club 8-1 on their tour of Netherlands.

Dilber opened the scoring in the third minute to take the lead. Bilal Qadir then scored twice in the 13th and 15th minutes.

Dilber then struck again in the 22nd minute followed by Shan Irshad’s goal. The second half began with the hosts scoring their lone goalin the 32nd minute, but Pakistan’s Atiq Arshad hit back three minutes later to widen the gap to 6-1.

Tour of Europe: Pakistan U21 register second victory

Dilber then scored the Colts’ seventh goal, while Abu Bakr scored the visitors’ eighth goal to end the match 8-1 in Pakistan’s favour.
