Fighting Alliance, Pakistan's premier Mixed Martial Arts promotion, is scheduled to hold its fourth event at Lahore's Wapda Sports Complex at 5pm on Saturday.

Organised by Impact Sports and titled Fighting Alliance 4: Genesis, the event sees Karachi's Ovais Shah (3G MMA) take on Gujranwala's Shams Rehman (Team Synergy) in the main event.

Meanwhile, the co-main event will be a bout between Pakistan's Haroon Sohail and Bangladesh's Ishtiak Ahmed. The remainder of the card features a mix of Pakistani and Afghani fighters.

Bashir Ahmed, widely regarded as the pioneer of MMA in Pakistan, has urged fighting fans to flock to Wapda Sports Complex and support the country's talent as it takes on foreign opponents.

"We invite everyone to come and support us. There is no entry fee, and it's on a Saturday. What more could anyone want?" said Ahmed.
