Service delivery: Special cells for expatriates

LAHORE: Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khwaja on Friday directed the district administration to set up special cells to promptly redress complaints of expatriate Pakistanis. He was chairing a meeting of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), at the Civil Secretariat. OPC Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti, Director General Hassan Iqbal, Additional Director General Ahmed Mubeen, the DIG, attended the meeting. The DCO and police officers from Bahawalpur participated in the session via video link. Khwaja said special cells in districts would be connected with local police and other line departments so that complaints of overseas Pakistanis could be disposed of efficiently.
