Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput became parents to their newly born girl on Friday.



The girl was born in Mumbai's Hinduja hospital weighing 2.8kg through normal delivery even though she was born premature, Deccan Chronicle reported.

“It was a normal delivery. Both mother and child are doing fine,” The Hindu quoted gynaecologist Dr Kiran Coelho as saying.

The couple that had tied the knot in New Delhi on July 7, 2015, posted a photo of themselves in an adorable pose two days ago.

What's equally interesting is that the Bollywood heartthrob has reportedly converted one of his rooms into a baby room to start with the parenthood.

The actor had earlier dedicated his sea-facing apartment in Juhu, Mumbai, meant for partying and grooming, to his wife Mira.
