DERA GHAZI KHAN: An eight-year-old household help was beaten up badly on Monday by an English teacher at a Daanish School. The child’s family said they would not take action against the teacher.

The child had been doing chores in the kitchen when she accidently dropped a pot of milk. Sadia Nazir, her employer, beat the girl up badly for “wasting milk”. The girl ended up with black eyes and a swollen face. Nazir took her to the school dispensary at Daanish School for treatment.

Nazir later called up the girl’s father and offered him money to not report the matter to the police. Daanish School Principal Shabnam Haseeb said the girl worked at Nazir’s house and this was her private matter. “We have warned her and told her to settle the matter with the girl’s family,” Haseeb said. She said she would also call up the girl’s parents and discuss the matter with them.
