Golf championship: Masih leads day two at seven under-par

Hamza Amin and three other players tied on second place with aggregate score of six under-par 138

KARACHI: The second day of the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf Championship was far from a pleasant one for most of the top golfers as Shafiq Masih of Lahore Gymkhana led the table with an overall lead of seven under-par 137 at the Karachi Golf Club.

Masih, who ended the championship’s opening day on the second spot, reached the top yesterday as he finished two under-par 72, while day one leader Hamza Amin was unable keep his lead intact as he scored two over-par 74 to take his aggregate to six under-par 138. M Asif, Matloob Ahmed and Muhammad Tahir also tied for the second place with the same overall score.

They are followed by defending champion Muhammad Munir (139), Shabbir Iqbal and Muhammad Ashfaq at third.
