Rishi and Randhir Kapoor are keen on making a biopic on their late father.

Ranbir Kapoor is all set to recreate the life of his grandfather on the silver screen.

According to the latest buzz, Rishi Kapoor is keen on producing a film based on the illustrious life of the late Raj Kapoor. The biopic to be produced under the banner of RK films, is reported to star the Tamasha actor in the lead role.

“It is the Kapoor khandaan’s most cherished dream project. They’ve wanted to make a biopic on Raj saab for the longest time. Until Ranbir became an actor they couldn’t think of anyone who could fit the bill. Now the project is finally gaining shape," a close source was quoted as saying, reports Deccan Chronicle.

The biopic will also mark the revival of RK banner, established by Raj Kapoor in 1948.

"The brothers, Rishi and Randhir, are in agreement. They feel Ranbir is the best person to play Raj saab,” reveals a member of the Kapoor clan.
