RAWALPINDI:

Rawal Town Municipal Administration Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazia Perveen on Tuesday sealed Bala Tikka House and Kabab Shop in the Banni area of Rawalpindi for using substandard items in their products.

The restaurants were allegedly found using stale ingredients and also providing broken and dirty utensils.

During inspections in Kartarpura and Banni, Perveen also directed hotels, restaurants, shops and homeowners to take precautions against mosquitoes, keep eateries clean, and use fresh ingredients in food products.

She also instructed them to keep water tanks, pots and other storage units covered or sealed.

The ADCG further warned that strict action would be taken against hotels, restaurants, and homeowners found to be violating any of these directions, adding that heavy fines would also be imposed on violators.
