LAHORE:
Chief Minister’s Taskforce on Spurious and Substandard Medicines chairman Khawaja Imran Nazir said on Monday that steps were being taken to check the sale of substandard medicines.
Nazir said that complete cooperation would be extended to those in the pharmaceutical industry who maintained quality of drugs. “Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has set up the taskforce for the purpose of supplying quality medicines to the people and elimination of spurious and substandard drugs,” he said.
The CM said that the taskforce had sealed units manufacturing fake medicines. Nazir said that action was also being taken against bogus pharmaceutical companies.
