While Pokémon Go is killing user’s phone batteries, it seems the new sensational game is destroying relationships as well.

A guy named Evan Scribner, who lives in New York, said he is now single because his girlfriend found out she was being cheated. Wondering how? By playing the Pokémon Go game.

The game has a mapping software to track where the players are catching their Pokémon. And this is how Evan got caught since he had captured a Pokémon at her ex-girlfriend's house!

"She saw I had caught a Pokémon while at my ex's house," Scribner told the Post.

"She found out last night...and hasn't contacted me since then."

The game, created by Niantic and the Pokémon Company, has re-induced Pokémania — a frenzy over the cute creatures that were originally created in the mid-’90s by Nintendo for the Game Boy console — throughout the world since it was released last week.

Since then, Nintendo has added $7.5 billion to its market value and increased its stock shares by 25 per cent.
