Considering ease of travel and new and old favourites here is a list of the top ten cities to travel to in 2016.

6. Lanai, Hawai

With stunning view near the marine preserve , lanai offers a more laid holiday than most islands in Hawai. The finest restaurant on the island is easily Nobu at the Four Seasons. Other must visit places include the Dole park and Garden of the Gods which is red dirt cliffs made of million-year old rock formations and boulders.

7. Hangzhou, China

Hangzhou’s vast and beautiful West Lake framed by mountains draws tourists from all over the world.  The city is one of China’s wealthiest. From walking to cycling the city offer many activities for tourists and also has a distinct cuisine.

8. Douro Valley , Portugal

Douro Azul offers yacht trips and Viking River Cruises’ along picturesque landscapes.  There are plenty of places to visit in a region that comprises three world heritage sites - Alto Douro Wine Region, Historic Centre of Porto and Prehistoric Rock Art Sites in Côa Valley, and two parks – Douro International and Alvão. 10. Asbury Park, New Jersey



Despite battering by Hurricane Sandy in 2012 the Jersey Shore town, 90 minutes south of New York City, is a popular destination due to its gay and live-music scenes. From Vintage pinball machines to fortune telling and clothing and jewelry at the Market at Fifth Avenue the city offer many activities. Plus, it’s right next to the beach.
