PIA introduces new menu for domestic, international flights

The national flag carrier revises its menus on a quarterly basis based on customer feedback

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines on Friday introduced a new menu for flights on all its domestic and international routers for both business and economy classes.

“Chefs of PIA food services department have added some new dishes of chicken, mutton and fish to the menu in addition to a variety of snacks and desserts,” said a statement issued by the nation flag carrier.

The menus for flights are revised by the airline on a quarterly basis based on customer feedback.

“New menus are prepared by the airline's menu preparation and implementation committee on the basis of customer feedback, with emphasis on fresh food, with new taste and improved presentation,” the statement added.

The announcement comes just days after PIA came forward to extend all-out support to Turkish Airlines in wake of a triple suicide bombing and gun attack at Ataturk airport which left at least 36 people dead, including foreigners.

The national flag carrier offered to transport passengers disturbed due to flight diversions in the aftermath of the terror incident.

“We are deeply sorry for this tragedy and as code share partners with Turkish Airlines we are ready to extend our all-out support to them,” CEO PIA, Bernd Hildenbrand said, according to a press release.
