SUKKUR: A young man and a woman were shot on the pretext of karo kari in Raman Khoso village, within the limits of Bahoo Khoso police station on Wednesday.

Ali Gul Banglani and accomplices allegedly killed Qurban Ali Bugti, 20. Banglani later went home and killed his wife, 55-year-old Fatima, before fleeing. Police sent the bodies to hospital for autopsy and, upon the complaint of Bugti’s father, Muhammad Malook, registered a case against four people, including Banglani.

Bugti’s father told the police that his son had been returning to the village from Thull after selling two buffaloes for Rs80,000 when Banglani snatched the money and killed him, declaring him to be ‘karo’ with his wife. Bugti denied that his son had an illicit relationship with Fatima, citing their age difference as proof.

He said that Banglani had shot his wife merely to conceal the crime of murdering Bugti.
