The show host had provoked people to do strange activities and show anger in Punjabi language, said the Pemra statement, adding that airing such content was in clear violation of rules set by the regulatory body on June 1.

Following threats, PEMRA puts a lid on Hamza Ali Abbasi's Ramazan transmission

The council also took notice of the footage where the programe host can be seen wearing Pakistan Army uniform.

“It has been decided to link usage of army uniform for commercial purposes with the prior approval of the ISPR and PEMRA,” said the handout.

Some serving officers of the Pakistan Army had complained against Liaquat’s promotional advertisement in which he was shown as a soldier.

The officers expressed their sadness for using using Pakistani flag and army’s uniform for commercial incentives.
