On Friday, hundreds of students, parents and bookshop owners from various parts of Hazara Division protested inside the BISE building on Murree Road in Abbottabad. They shouted slogans against the board’s administration and urged the relevant authorities to take action against them.

The protesters also blocked the Murree Road, Abbottabad for a long time. They eventually cleared the road following negotiations with Mirpur DSP Amjad Khan.

BISE had announced the top positions of Secondary School Certificate annual results 2015/16 on Thursday afternoon during a news conference. During the conference, the BISE chairperson announced the complete gazette would be released on Friday to all schools and shopkeepers who wished to purchase the copies.

However, when parents, students and book sellers of neighbouring localities in different parts of Hazara Division reached the BISE building they were told the administration had not yet received the copies.
