MULTAN: Two cops accused of stealing a large cache of weapons from the Bhakkar City police station’s armoury on Tuesday were arrested on Thursday, DSP Zafar Buzdar said.

The weapons, 44 pistols, 46 Kalashnikov rifles, two other rifles and six shotguns, were found missing from the police station’s armoury on Tuesday, he said. DPO Khalid Masood had directed police to register a case against two cops, Head Constable Atta Muhammad and Constable Arsalan Jameel, who were reported missing from duty at that time.
