One piece three ways: Nadia Farooqi

We ask three fashionistas to put together an outfit using the same item from a designer’s collection

While trends fade, style remains eternal and one piece can be put together in many different ways. We ask three fashionistas to put together an outfit using the same item from a designer’s collection, according to their style and taste!

This structured blazer from Nadia Farooqi’s latest summer 2016 collection is intricately embroidered and cut-worked to create patterns. For a formal look, resham in poppy colours and zardozi in silver has been hand-worked. This versatile blazer can be worn over a structured pantsuit for a formal dinner or over a lengha for a dear one’s baraat.

When it comes to my personal style, I opt for a traditional look as opposed to a contemporary one. I decided to pair this beautiful Nadia Farooqui jacket with my valima lengha, which sported a silver tone – hence my decision to accessorise the outfit with silver-studded Dune heels and small diamond studs. Wanting to keep the subtle look intact, Blush Salon & Spa gave me a minimal yet impactful look with a side-swept bun. I would happily wear this look to a wedding.

I paired my jacket with trendy bootleg trousers, and wore a Heavenly Regalia bracelet and Swarovski earrings to complement the outfit. I kept my hair casual and tousled and for makeup, Dressing Table Salon & Spa gave me a daytime look, with frosty pink eyes, a little bit of colour on the cheek, highlighter and glossy lips. For finishing touches I had my nails painted white. I would definitely wear this look to a day wedding.

I’m always open to trying new trends and that’s just what I did! I paired my jacket with a crop top and tulip pants, adding even more sparkle to my outfit with my silver Manolo Blahniks. I kept my hair straight and went for dramatic eyes – I would wear this look to a wedding or to a red carpet event!
