Event planner Shazreh Ali and sibling, chef Muneeze Khalid, talk to us about the love they share and their memories growing up together!

What’s your first memory of each other?

Shazreh: My first memory goes back to the day she was born and how tiny she was! I was so scared when I held her in my arms.

Muneeze: Shaju was always my cool older sister who was allowed to do everything I wasn’t and I wanted to be just as cool as her! My earliest memory would have to be of her bribing our third sister, Alizeh and I, with chocolates so we would do all her chores.

What is the craziest thing you have done together?

Shazreh: Having to care for my daughter Amelia when she was born, without having a clue of what to do. It was crazy and overwhelming at the same time and I couldn’t have done it without my sisters.

Muneeze: The craziest and most beautiful thing we got to do together was taking care of Amelia when she was born. I remember staying at the hospital for the first few nights and taking care of her, she was so tiny and fragile!

What did you get punished for the most as a child?

Shazreh: Breaking curfews.

Muneeze: Bunking tuitions.

If you could only wear one piece of clothing for the rest of your life, from the other’s closet, what would it be?

Shazreh: Nothing from her closet but I wouldn’t mind a bag full of her amazing make-up collection.

Muneeze: More than a piece of clothing I would want her beautiful silver Chanel bag.

If you could swap places with each other, what’s the first thing you would you do?

Shazreh: Take a culinary trip around the world.

Muneeze: Take Amelia to Disney World!

What is the one thing you love about your sister?

Shazreh: Her big heart.

Muneeze: She has always been very protective of me, especially because I’ll always be her baby sister. I love her with all my heart.

If you are fighting with each other, how do you make up?

Shazreh: She apologises, of course!

Muneeze: I always apologise.

What is the one secret talent your sister has, that you wish you did too?

Shazreh: She can run a mile in heels!

Muneeze: Her aesthetic sense is amazing and she’s an excellent host. She’s also amazing
with interiors.

Describe your sister in three words.

Shazreh: Genius, inspirational and generous.

Muneeze: Protective, multitalented and generous.

Which fictional character is your sister most like?

Shazreh: Remy the rat from Ratatouille!

Muneeze: The way she manages her business and is an awesome mom at the same time gives her the title of Superwoman for sure!

How are your personalities similar?

Shazreh: We are both very passionate about
what we do.

Muneeze: We are both extremely stubborn.

I can’t live without my sister because…

Shazreh: She is a pillar of love, strength and happiness for our family.

Muneeze: My life would be incomplete without her, I would have no one to guide me or take care of me in ways that only she can.
