A Saudi man was arrested for allegedly shooting a male doctor, arguing that he had no right to assist his wife’s delivery.

The father of the new born child returned to the hospital a month after the delivery, where he shot Dr Muhammad Al Zabn, a male obstetrician for assisting his wife's delivery, arguing that a female gynecologist should have been there instead.

According to reports, the man arrived at King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, where he told Al Zabn he wants to meet him and thank him for helping his wife through the delivery.

Following the father's request, the two met in the hospital's garden where he pulled out his gun and fired at the doctor.

"The man was later arrested by the police."
