ISLAMABAD: Fauji Foundation Managing Director and Foundation University President Lt-Gen Khalid Nawaz Khan stressed that as individuals we must focus on the national goals of eliminating disease, poverty and achieving prosperity.

He was speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the convocation of the Foundation University Medical College (FUMC) held at the university auditorium, here on Thursday.

Nawaz said a positive attitude created positive synergies, which led to higher productivity, good team work, passion and optimism.

“We all must strive to be creative, innovative and dynamic citizens. These qualities will contribute to mental robustness to avoid failures thus ensuring survival and prosperity” he said.

While acknowledging the dedicated endeavours of the Foundation University Islamabad Campus in the field of medical education, research development, professionalism and growth of its infrastructure, Nawaz said, the rapid progress made in undergraduate and post graduate studies in health sciences by this Campus is commendable.

“The introduction of modern teaching methods by integrating the theoretical and practical aspects in a problem based, small group learning has added to the acumen and skills of young doctors”, Nawaz added.
