Personal Dispute: Govt employee shot dead

KARACHI: An employee of the Sindh Secretariat was shot dead in a firing incident near the secretariat on Wednesday evening. Police officials said the victim was killed over a personal dispute by a colleague while the police also claim to have arrested the accused from the spot. The deceased was identified as Syed Riasat Ali Shah, who works as a naib qasid to labour minister while the accused was identified as Shaukat, who works as a photographer for the minister. The victim’s body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Police officials said the motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained as the investigation is at the preliminary stage. No case has been registered as yet.
