ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Liquefied Petroleum Gas Distributors Association and the National Iranian Company have signed an agreement for the import of 75,000 tons of LPG within a year. At least 6,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) would be imported from Iran every month for a year, a private news channel reported. Association’s President Irfan Khokhar stated the imported LPG would definitely help curb energy crisis in the country. Pakistan also signed a historic gas deal with Qatar this year. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had visited Qatar and met counterparts there.
