Environmentally conscious: EFU Life to plant trees at JPMC

Tree plantation across the country is one way to do this and needs to be executed on a mass level

Press Release April 06, 2016

KARACHI: EFU Life, one of the leading life insurance providers in Pakistan, has launched a tree plantation drive to commemorate Insurance Day. The tree plantation drive at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), under the slogan ‘Keep JPMC Clean and Green’, involves planting trees at the hospital and installing trash cans. The objective of this drive is to address global warming-induced climate change and its adverse impact on the environment. EFU Life CEO and managing director Taher G Sachak said, “We need to work together in combating the adverse impacts from global warming and drastic climatic change and help prevent catastrophic events like last year’s heatwave”. Tree plantation across the country is one way to do this and needs to be executed on a mass level to control further damage, he added. “Each one of us has to play our part in making Pakistan greener,” said Sachak.
