Join the club: Official urges policemen to get IPA membership

IPA is also offering scholarships to its members so that they could acquire the latest knowledge

International Police Association (IPA) Sindh chapter vice-chairperson Maqsood Ahmed has asked the police officers to obtain membership to the association.


He was addressing a meeting held on Monday at Special Security Unit Headquarters in connection with membership of police officers. IPA houses will be setup in the country including Karachi in order to facilitate the police officers including retired officials, he claimed.


Terrorists and criminals are using different modus operandi, therefore in order to counter them effectively awareness about modern development in technology is very important, Ahmed added. He underlined the need to acquire awareness about latest development in policing and laws internationally, so that police officers can effectively challenge anti-social elements.


Ahmed stressed that membership of IPA can play an important role for meeting with police officers abroad as well as having professional development in other countries. IPA is also offering scholarships to its members so that they could acquire the latest knowledge about the professional development abroad, he added.
