Up in arms: LG representative protest absence of funds

BANNU:

Nazims, naib nazims and councillors jointly held a protest near Fazal Qadir Shaheed Park, Bannu over the government’s failure to provide funds.

The demonstration started from Bannu Bazaar and ended at the press club. Protesters said they would take to the streets in Peshawar on February 15 if their demands were not met.

Naib Nazim Association President Asif Khan Wazir said several months had passed since the local government elections were held. However, there were no signs of given honoraria, incentives and authority under the Local Government Ordinance 2013.
