War chest: ‘Funds for new division, 28 battalions’

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has assured provision of funds for the new security division and additional battalions and the development schemes being undertaken by the Pakistan Army. The minister gave the assurance during a meeting with senior officials of the Pakistan Army the other day, a ministry statement said. During the meeting progress on various development schemes of Pakistan Army was discussed. Matters relating to financing and release of funds for the raising of new security division, as well as an additional 28 security battalions, also came under discussion. Dar said the government attached the highest importance to security matters.
