LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Kahna SHO in connection with a citizen’s petition seeking the registration of a case against his in-laws. Petitioner Liaquat Munawar told the court that his wife’s family had called on the couple a few days ago. He said Rs40,000 had gone missing from a cupboard at their house following their departure.  Munawar said he had asked his wife about the missing cash who was left shocked after learning about what transpired. He said she had later asked them about the money but they feigned innocence. The petitioner said he had approached the SHO to have a case registered against them. He said the official had refused to entertain his request. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against them.
