Zara Peerzada, a model with a bright future spoke to us about her all time favourite movies!

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) - Directed by Wes Anderson

A movie about three genius siblings, with separated parents, who end up doing wonders in their life. I love anything and everything that’s directed by Wes Anderson; he’s at the top of my fantasy wish list of people I’d like to work with.

Wetlands (2013) – David Wnendt

Not for the faint hearted or easily ‘grossed out’. I like it because it’s a film that has nothing to hide and is not ashamed of anything. It’s a movie about a rebellious teen who falls in love with a male nurse after an unfortunate accident and then plots to reunite her divorced parents.

A Separation (2011) – Asghar Farhadi

An Iranian film about a bank employee who refuses to leave Tehran and ends up being divorced by his wife, in the hope that she can make a better life for her daughter abroad. This film is some place I would love to see Pakistani cinema go one day.

Into the Wild (2007) – Directed by Sean Penn

Dedicated to all those who wander and choose to be lost. A story about Christopher McCandless played by Emile Hirsch a wealthy heir, athlete and top student who gives up everything and embarks on a journey to Alaskan wilderness.

The Never Ending Story (1984) – Wolfgang Peterson

An imaginative film to grow up with. A young boy escapes bullies and dives into a book to discover a wondrous fantasy land in need of help from a human boy who happens to resemble himself. The line between fantasy and reality is blurred as he ventures further into this thrilling story.

Star Wars – George Lucas

Star Wars has perhaps been the most prevalent film influence in my life. I love it deeply and dearly. I’ve grown up believing in the ways of the Force and lure of the dark side. I still strongly believe that I am a member of the Jedi Order #nerdalert.

Boogie Nights (1997) – Paul Thomas Anderson

I don’t think my life would have been complete if I had not seen Boogie Nights, and the same applies to everyone else who hasn’t seen it. Its a story about a teenage bus boy played by Mark Wahlberg who gets discovered by a porn director and ends up being transformed into an adult film sensation.
