Awareness rally: World Wetland Day observed in Sukkur

WWF-P Sukkur’s focal person Ali Hassan Mahar talked about the importance of wetland and mangroves for the environment

SUKKUR: The Sindh wildlife department and World Wide Fund for Nature - Pakistan (WWF-P), Sukkur, jointly held a rally from Lab-e- Mehran, Globe Chowk, to Indus Dolphin Conservation Centre to highlight the importance of World Wetland Day and create awareness among people about the importance of wetland, rivers and fisheries. A large number of social activists, educationists and schoolchildren participated in the rally. Students from four public-sector schools, all located near Sukkur, participated. WWF-P Sukkur’s focal person Ali Hassan Mahar talked about the importance of wetland and mangroves for the environment as well as humanity.
