FAISALABAD: Millat Town police on Tuesday claimed to have killed two robbers in a shootout on Monday night. Police said three of their accomplices had managed to run away.  A police spokesperson told journalists on Tuesday that the assistant sub-inspector in charge of the Bhaiwala police post in a Millat Town police precinct was patrolling the area with his team. He said that the ASI signalled five men on two motorcycles to stop near Afzal Park, Katcha Phattak Gatti. The men, however, shot at the police vehicle, the spokesperson said.  The police also returned fire and two of the men on the motorcycles received bullet injuries. The spokesperson said that they fell down from the motorcycles but three of their accomplices had managed to escape.
