A welcome move: Senate offers internship to students

We want to make our youth part of parliament

ISLAMABAD: Senate chairman Raza Rabbani announced an internship programme for graduates from eight universities in Islamabad. In this regard, an MoU has been signed with the universities to hire the services of 46 internees, including 26 female and 20 male students. Addressing the opening ceremony of the internship programnme at the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Studies on Monday, the chairman Senate said that the programme would allow the fresh graduates to work and interact closely with the Senate secretariat and the senators. “We want to make our youth part of parliament, to know about the Constitution and the long struggle for of democracy,” Rabbani said.
