Collision : Four die in road accident, eight injured

The Rescue-1122 officials had provided the injured first-aid and had taken some of them to the Layyah district

MULTAN: Four people – including a woman and a child – died and eight others were injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck near Bahal Bridge in Bhakkar district. Police said a bus travelling from Layyah district collided with a truck. Munawar, the passenger bus driver, died on the spot. Four others, including three-year-old Muskaan, died in the accident too. Bhakkar District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Parvez said eight passengers were badly injured and five of them had critical injuries. He said they had been taken to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for intensive treatment. He said that Rescue-1122 and ambulances of the Rural Health Centre had arrived at the scene. The Rescue-1122 officials had provided the injured first-aid and had taken some of them to the Layyah district headquarters hospital.
