KARACHI:

Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hasan has alleged that after taking oath in 2013, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah preferred to visit Lyari gang head Uzair Baloch rather than visiting Mazar-e-Quaid. Speaking to the media outside the Sindh Assembly on Monday, he said, “Shah Sahib went Lyari to seek the support of Uzair Baloch, a gangster who is involved in the killing of many innocent people on ethnic basis”. He added that the gang politics has now come to an end.

He said the Uzair Baloch group is not only responsible for the murder of dozens of innocent people but also collected extortion money from Karachi’s business community and made their lives miserable. “We demand the concerned quarters expose the hands behind this group and their criminal activities,” he said.

“We are against criminals and militant wings in political parties and want action to eliminate the same,” he said.
