Murder Suspect Held: Man jailed for 28 years for killing wife

PESHAWAR: A local court has awarded a sentence of 28 years and imposed a heavy fine on a man convicted for killing his wife. The convict identified as Alaudin, a resident of Khyber Agency, lived in Dir Colony in Peshawar. He was presented before additional sessions judge Fazal Sattar Khan. Alaudin was charged for murdering his wife Firasat Bibi on August 11, 2014 and was booked under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. He was also fined Rs2.82 million after the lawyers completed their arguments and in light of the evidence and witnesses’ statements. Another court dismissed the bail application of a murder suspect and sent him to jail. The suspect, identified as Rambil Khan, a resident of Urmar, was presented before additional sessions judge Khalid Khan. He is suspected of killing an Afghan national and injuring another man.
