Travellers from all over the world voted for the best hotels of 2016 in the recently conducted TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice poll and among the top 10, Umaid Bhawan Palace, located in the Indian city of Jodhpur has been ranked as the world's best.

The Palace won the 14th edition of the awards and received a five out of five rating among its 840 guests, while Shinta Mani Resort in Cambodia and Bellevue Syrene in Italy have been voted second and third best.

1) Umaid Bhawan Palace

The palace-turned-hotel dates back to 1928 and was initially built for a Maharaja. The visual masterpiece expands over 26 acres of lush gardens and boasts 347 rooms out of which the hotel offers only 64 rooms and suites to it's prestigious guests.



This hot destination is extremely popular among celebrities from all over the world. Hollywood star Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar’s grand wedding also took place here.

The standard rooms for two adults start from $660 and the suite goes up to $1748 per night.





Because they have a private spa... not kidding!



There's also a special place for all the lovebirds or newlyweds called the “Celebration Table”.



To jazz things up, the hotel also offers a horse carriage ride.

The Palm - Eagle Beach, Aruba resort is beautiful, the service is outstanding, and the wide, white sand beach is stunning. The staff made us feel special and pampered all week.







9) Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa

"The week at the Calabash (Lance aux Epines, Grenada) was entirely stress-free. I cannot suggest any way for them to improve the experience.







10) Hotel Ritta Hoppner


Romantic chalets, great staff, A+ service. We were over the moon about our stay," said guests of the hotel located in Gramado, Brazil.

Maria Sultan | 8 years ago | Reply What tosh! The first one looks like a railway station. There are at least ten hostels and dhabas in Lahore alone that look better than this maida bavan.
