The female food court at NED University of Engineering and Technology has been named after Pakistan Air Force flying officer Mariam Mukhtar. The food court at the Student Facilitation Centre has been named after the martyred pilot as she got admission in NED University for the batch of 2010-2011 but left when she was selected for the air force. This was the governor's decision, said NED registrar Ghazanfar Hussain. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan inaugurated the food court.
