Jason Sangha’s century helped Australia U19 beat Pakistan U19 by 23 runs on Duckworth/Lewis method in the Tri-Nation U19 series match played at the ICC Academy in Dubai, UAE.


Batting first, Australia were dismissed for 206 in 47.1 overs with Sangha starring with a 113-ball 102, laced with two sixes and 13 boundaries.

Young pacer Sameen Gul picked up a five-wicket haul for 44 runs and a maiden over, while Ahmad Shafiq bowled a brilliant spell of 10 overs, taking one wicket giving just 18 runs.


In reply, Pakistan U19 were all out for 183 in 44.3 overs as skipper Gauhar Hafeez laboured to 48 off 94 deliveries, while Shadab Khan scored run-a-ball 36 with the help of two sixes and three strikes to the fence.

Liam Hatcher picked up a five-for, while Michael Cormack and Sam Grimwade bagged two scalps each.
