Medical college in Balochistan

Letter January 01, 2016
Establishment of Kech Medical College is a praiseworthy act of former Balochistan chief minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch

KECH: The efforts of former Balochistan chief minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch for educational development are praiseworthy. By establishing the Kech Medical College, he lived up to a challenge that every other ruling government failed to accomplish. Because of students’ mounting interest in the field of medicine, medical colleges are a necessity and must be present in every city of the country. There is just one medical college in Balochistan for all the districts that is not enough to cater to the demands for medical education in the province.

The establishment of Kech Medical College provides new hope for people of Makran division. However, its construction is taking much more time than was expected. I request the government of Balochistan and the new chief minister to take immediate measures to complete the construction of Kech Medical College as soon as possible.
