Drinking water: Reverse-osmosis plant installed at JPMC

The plant has 15,000 gallons of water capacity and has started functioning

KARACHI: Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre’s (JPMC) administration has installed a reverse-osmosis (RO) plant in healthcare to provide clean drinking water to patients and staff, according to JPMC administration deputy director and focal person Dr Jawaid Akhter Jamali. The RO plant has been installed in the hospital to overcome waterborne diseases and provide clean drinking water for patients, attendants and medical staff, he said. The plant has 15,000 gallons of water capacity and has started functioning. Dr Jamali said that the hospital administration had installed RO plant to provide clean drinking water to patients and employees. The installation of machinery had been completed and the plant has started functioning. Jamali added that hundreds of people will benefit from the RO plant.
